bright.net is a project of ComNet, Inc., which organized in November of 1993 by 15 Ohio independent telephone companies, and have added 4 more since.
ComNet was established to provide Advanced Intelligent Networking (AIN) service for Ohio independents. As part of AIN, ComNet has installed a (mated) pair of signal Transfer points (STP's).
In October of 1994 the ComNet board of directors approved a plan to build a state-wide Internet access network with a focus on serving the small communities and rural areas of the state of Ohio...and beyond.
bright.net north is a service of the Ridgeville Corners, Farmers Mutual (Okolona) and McClure Telephone Companies. We provide superior Internet service to Erie, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Sandusky, and Wood counties. We are committed to providing the highest quality Internet service to area residents and businesses.
